It is now that Dr.Mahathir is showing off his true colour.
He was in all his years of being the prime minister of our country seperated the citizens racially. His remarks also reveals his ignorance on Hindraf struggle.
Dr.Mahathir by saying Hindraf only represents Tamils in Malaysia is trying to propagate 2 destructive points.
Firstly he is trying to disunite Indians. It is a known factor Malaysian Indians are of various segments be it their mother tongue , religion , sosial status etc... Hindarf for the first time ever since Independence successfully managed to unite them. Hindraf too proved how Indians can be politically strong if they are united.12th general election results speaks for itself with regards to Malaysian Indian unity.Therfore by saying Hindarf only fights Tamil's right he is poisoning the minds of Malayalees , Telugus , Sikhs , Gujarathis and others to keep away. He must by now realized the days for such cheap , narrow and shallow tactics will never work anymore in this country.
Secondly by saying Hindraf is only represents Tamils , Dr.Mahathir is trying to link the Malaysian Indians with Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka and hoping to create an image as if Tamil origins are trouble makers wherever they are.He might also trying his luck by blindly labeling the Tamil origins loose their respect in the eyes of internatioanal community.Knowing such accusations will arise , concept of "AHIMSA" was adopted since day one of Hindraf's struggle. That was the main reason why the Hindarf supporters carried Mahathma Ghandi's picture in the 25th November rally. So Dr. Mahathir , your baseless propaganda will never work.
I wonder what makes Dr.Mahathir to under estimate my fellow Malay Muslim brothers and sisters will believe what he is trying to propagate in his speeches and blog. The Malay Muslims clearly understood of Hindraf's struggle when we join force with PAS and Keadilan in the 12th general election. They know we are only asking our constituitional rights which was systematically ignored by the UMNO led government.
Therfore my fellow Indian brothers and sisters do not get provoked by Dr.Mahathirs's baseless accusations. Infact in my opinion he is provoking us to react negatively that situations can turn ugly . Just ignore him . Let him loose his respect in the eyes of Malaysians as well as international community.
For us my dear brothers and sisters , let us not let anything get between us to disunite ourselves.
